Safety Certification (only for Thailand)

Since November 1st 2021, it is mandatory by law to conduct an Annual Safety Certification of Lifts in Thailand. We expect that escalators will soon also be covered by the same legal requirements. Elevating Studio (Thailand) Ltd is the first Authorized Body in Thailand who is certified and approved by the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare, to perform these mandatory Safety Examinations and Certifications.

• Our “Essential Inspection” is a Safety Inspection according to the new Thai Law including the mandatory “Load test”. The safety examination and certification will ensure that your equipment complies with all safety requirements in accordance with the Thai Lift Safety Code 03-20219-10307 (EN81-20). After the successful examination and safety tests, a Safety Seal will be placed inside the lift car, which will be a guarantee for the users that your lifts are indeed safe.

Safety and Reliability are unfortunately two different things. Although a lift may be safe to operate and complies with all the latest safety requirements, it can still be unreliable, depending on how well the lift was installed or how well it is maintained. To guarantee not only the safety but also the reliability of your lifts, we can combine the safety examination and certification with additional quality inspections and audits, to verify the reliability and quality of the lifts and escalators.

• Our “Standard Inspection – Maintenance” is a combination of a “Essential Inspection” and a “Maintenance Audit”. Besides examining the lift for potential safety risks or noncompliance, we will also address all reliability issues caused by lack of maintenance. We will follow up the maintenance defects with your maintenance provider until corrected and resolved.
• Our “Standard Inspection – Handover” is a service for newly installed or modernized lifts. This service is a combination of a “Essential Inspection” and a “Handover Inspection”. Besides examining the lift for potential safety risks or noncompliance, we will also address all reliability issues found with the new lifts or newly modernized lifts and we will prepare a defect list for the hand-over of the equipment.
